Role Summary Amogy is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our pilot‑scale energy systems and facility infrastructure in Houston. This role is focused on day-to-day operations, supporting R&D and deployment programs, and enabling a safe, responsive, and flexible test environment.

You’ll work closely with cross‑functional engineering, safety, manufacturing teams, and be responsible for maintaining operational readiness, adapting facility setups to evolving needs, and ensuring alignment with safety and permitting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily operations of the facility, ensuring uptime and responsiveness to testing needs.

Oversee safe handling of hazardous gases, power, and fluid systems (e.g., ammonia, hydrogen).

Reinforce a culture of safety, work permit adherence and hazard awareness in daily operations.

Manage facility resources (tools, inventory, maintenance requests).

Manage mechanical integrity program including equipment inspection and maintenance.

Communicate directly with contractors, inspectors, and vendors to support upgrades and modifications.

Support coordination of construction alongside facilities engineering manager.

Support documentation, reporting, and incident response in coordination with safety teams.

Minimum Requirements

~10 years of experience in facilities, operations or pilot plant support roles.

Experience operating or supporting pilot‑scale or industrial‑scale test systems.

Strong communicator, able to coordinate across departments and with external vendors.

Comfortable with changing priorities, multiple workstreams and hands‑on tasks.

Safety‑first mindset, with understanding of LOTO, hot work and chemical handling protocols.

Familiarity with hydrogen/ammonia or other hazardous materials is preferred.

Experience coordinating with EPC firms or construction contractors is a strong plus.
