USD $163,000 – $215,000 / yr

Responsibilities
Manage all functional areas of a poultry processing plant, including the efficient operation of three production shifts, maintenance, safety, shipping, receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality, and process improvement.
Motivate managers to provide guidance and programs to enhance the skill level of their employees; resolve issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods; review cost and performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Compile monthly expense and efficiency reports; promote and explain the TQM philosophy to employees; obtain approval and execute capital improvements for plants.
Facilitate Talent Mapping and Succession Planning Programs and support the Retention Program.
Ensure food safety, food quality, and legality across operations.
Drive continuous improvement across all production phases; identify, evaluate, and correct problems; perform other related duties as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; four-year college degree preferred.
Experience:
Progressive 8+ years in poultry manufacturing; 6+ years of leadership, preferably in large, complex facilities/crews.
Industry Experience:
Poultry manufacturing.
Skills:
Ability to lead a team in a union environment; strong leadership to develop other leaders; understanding of poultry manufacturing (Tray Pack experience preferred; kill facility experience acceptable); knowledge of food safety and regulatory compliance.
Education/Certifications:
Industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree; travel 6–11 trips per year.
Compensation & Benefits
Variable compensation:
25% annual bonus
Long-term incentive:
$25,000.00
