AS-NEEDED SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER
HELIX Environmental Planning, Inc. (HELIX), a California-based environmental consulting and planning firm, is seeking an as‑needed experienced Senior Environmental Planner to support our Folsom office. This position reports to the Northern California Environmental Planning Group Manager.
Responsibilities
Research, write, and analyze environmental documents, public notices, and reports in compliance with CEQA and/or NEPA.
Perform QA/QC on environmental submissions and coordinate with project managers to prioritize and complete high‑quality work within specified deadlines.
Maintain clear verbal and written communication with team members, clients, sub‑consultants, and agencies.
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to time and budget constraints.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental studies, environmental science, environmental engineering, public planning, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the research, preparation, and review of environmental documents or public notices and reports in compliance with CEQA and/or NEPA.
Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail, including spelling, proofreading, and organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Compensation Hourly wages range from $45.00 to $55.00 per hour, based on qualifications and/or experience. Hours are as‑needed and no minimum guaranteed.
