Title Senior Data Scientist - AI/ML Engineer
Location Rancho Cucamonga, CA (Hybrid)
Position Overview We are looking for a hands‑on Data Scientist with strong AI/ML development experience within the Healthcare space to join our team onsite in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This is a developer role, not just analytics — you must be comfortable building and deploying machine learning models in production. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will be working closely with both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy machine learning models using healthcare payer data.
Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver insights.
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ML model APIs.
Analyze structured and unstructured data to extract valuable insights and features.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ML models into existing platforms.
Ensure models are explainable, auditable, and comply with healthcare data standards.
Present findings, model outputs, and insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Stay current with AI/ML trends, tools, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Hands‑on experience in building and deploying machine learning models.
Strong programming skills in Python (scikit‑learn, pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
Experience working with healthcare payer data (claims, billing, utilization, or risk scoring).
Solid understanding of supervised/unsupervised ML techniques, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.
Proficient in deploying ML models via APIs using frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with cloud platforms Azure for ML development and deployment.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills — ability to explain complex technical topics to business users.
Experience with HIPAA‑compliant environments and secure data handling.
Knowledge of healthcare standards like HL7, FHIR, or payer‑provider interactions.
Exposure to NLP or time‑series modeling in healthcare.
