Duties, Responsibilities & Other
Design and prepare deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful completion within defined timelines and budgets.
Utilize strong organizational and scheduling skills to effectively track project progress and deliverables, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
Communicate and collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, scope, and objectives.
Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information and ensure project compliance with local regulations and standards.
Coordinate with internal and external teams to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and clearances for project execution.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in engineering techniques and technologies.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future collaboration.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Strong proficiency in using Civil 3D and AutoCAD software.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex engineering concepts to diverse audiences.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing engineering plans, reports, and documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with local regulations, permitting processes, and design standards.
Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and methods.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring engineering projects.
Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
Education and/or Work Experience Preferred
Master’s Degree
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
Pre‑employment drug screening and background check is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
