Job Title
UX Researcher Devices & Services
Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)
Business Unit: Platforms + Devices Devices & Services
Duration: 7 months
Responsibilities
Design, plan, and execute qualitative and quantitative user research across product development stages.
Conduct usability, ergonomics, OOBE, and field studies to inform design and product direction.
Analyze findings and present clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
Partner with product and design teams to identify research opportunities and integrate insights into product decisions.
Create screeners, coordinate participant recruitment, and manage lab setups and logistics.
Perform literature reviews and competitive analyses to inform research strategy.
Apply ethical research practices and communicate findings through effective UX storytelling.
Qualifications
Education: M.A./M.S. or Ph.D. in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI, Anthropology, or related behavioral science field preferred. (B.S. in related field with strong relevant experience may be considered.)
Experience: 5+ years in a UX Research role (including internships).
Proven expertise in designing and executing studies that drive product and business decisions.
Strong understanding of various UX research methodologies and when to apply them.
Hands‑on experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, CREO, Rhino, etc.) for usability and ergonomics studies.
Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools is a plus.
