This role is open for a Remote Regional Sales Director, Midwest, part of the Sales team.
Role Overview The Regional Sales Director (RSD) will strategically build and lead a high‑performing regional sales team to launch Legend’s first potential commercialized product in a specific geography. The RSD will lead a group of Cell Therapy Account Specialists (CTAS) to exceed sales goals, develop team skills, and uphold the highest ethical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, recruit, train, develop and retain top talent for CTAS within assigned geography.
Achieve or exceed sales objectives in assigned region.
Participate in developing competitive strategic plans and marketing objectives.
Communicate expectations around plan performance, marketing/sales strategy, and field sales tactics.
Manage and monitor regional operating budget.
Coordinate development of regional strategic business plans for field sales execution.
Develop targeted account‑specific business plans reflecting local market forces.
Lead cross‑functional teams to build long‑term relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
Build, nurture, and foster relationships with key decision makers, administrators, etc.
Teach, train, and coach CTAS on oncology products and industry dynamics.
Ensure strong team dynamics regionally and across all functions.
Communicate sales direction, performance, and marketplace strategy to teams.
Analyze and evaluate business plans to ensure consistent delivery and exceed targets.
Engage and inspire employees, foster collaboration, influence others, and integrate functions, teams, people, processes, and systems.
Measure performance against defined goals, guiding individuals along career paths.
Foster professional growth through knowledge sharing and coaching.
Display a broad understanding of strategic objectives of the pharmaceutical sales marketplace.
Conduct performance reviews with objective, specific examples and clear improvement plans.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, FDA, OIG, and PhRMA guidelines.
Spearhead corporate initiatives at regional and local levels.
Collaborate closely with team members to develop strategies to grow business in key accounts.
Make decisions on regional sales strategy, performance management, data, staffing, compliance, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
10+ years of commercial experience in pharmaceutical sales, market access, or marketing.
At least 3 years of pharmaceutical sales management experience.
Prior experience in oncology.
Successful product launch experience.
Proven track record as a top‑level performer.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
