Senior Accountant
– Burlington, MA (Hybrid)
We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support budgeting, cash flow, and compliance initiatives. This position works closely with the CFO and is responsible for managing accounts payable, general ledger, month‑end close, and financial reporting while maintaining precision and adherence to GAAP standards.
Compensation Base pay:
$105,000 – $120,000 per year
Additional compensation:
Annual bonus
Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Utilize NetSuite to maintain the general ledger, process transactions, and generate financial reports for management review.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, ensuring timely completion of financial statements and deliverables.
Assist with audit preparation, providing supporting schedules and documentation for external auditors and corporate reporting.
Oversee the completion and presentation of financial statements and management reports, including customized reporting formats.
Review bank reconciliations and oversee the maintenance of accurate banking records.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
3+ years of professional accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
Experience with general ledger systems, preferably NetSuite.
Proven ability to analyze, reconcile, and interpret financial data accurately.
Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, procedures, and best practices.
Ability to comprehend and apply regulations, SOPs, and accounting standards effectively.
Demonstrated proficiency in process improvement and workflow optimization.
