Position Overview This Payroll Specialist ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the company's workforce, maintaining compliance with regulations and supporting employee satisfaction. They handle payroll inquiries, collaborate with HR on data accuracy, and optimize payroll processes to contribute to the organization’s financial health.
Responsibilities
Process payroll weekly and bi‑weekly for our growing workforce.
Maintain accurate payroll records, including hours, deductions, and benefits.
Handle bonuses, overtime, and retroactive pay adjustments.
Ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
Address employee questions about payroll, taxes, and benefits.
Collaborate with HR to keep payroll data accurate and up to date.
Generate payroll reports for management and agencies.
Qualifications
Experience:
3–5 years in payroll processing, familiarity with certified payroll and union benefits reporting, knowledge of payroll laws and compliance.
Skills:
Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Excel (Foundations experience is a plus), strong attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, professional handling of sensitive information.
