Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Location: Bergen County, NJ (On-site 5 days per week)

About the role The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic advisor to business and functional leaders, aligning workforce strategies with organizational goals. Reporting to the VP of HR for North America, this role leads a team of HR Generalists and oversees all aspects of the employee lifecycle across multiple states.

The HRBP will drive organizational effectiveness, foster employee engagement, ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state labor laws, and act as a trusted advisor to leadership. This position requires a strong balance of strategic influence and hands‑on execution, ensuring that employee lifecycle processes are executed smoothly while anticipating future workforce needs.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with U.S. leadership to align people strategies with business goals, providing HR insights that drive organizational effectiveness and growth.

Lead and develop a team of HR Generalists, ensuring effective execution of day‑to‑day employee lifecycle activities.

Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers on employee relations, organizational design, workforce planning, and performance management.

Oversee all employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation cycles, and exits), ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance.

Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and escalations.

Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state employment laws; monitor risk and advise leadership on policy and regulatory matters.

Guide leaders through change management initiatives such as restructures, workforce transitions, and organizational design.

Support leadership in succession planning, career development, and employee engagement strategies to build retention and morale.

Lead and execute company‑wide programs and initiatives across Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, and HR Operations, ensuring seamless implementation and alignment with business objectives.

Use workforce analytics and HR metrics to inform decision‑making and track the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

Coach and enable managers to lead with accountability, manage performance, and address underperformance constructively.

Foster a culture of inclusion, continuous feedback, and employee development.

Lead the HR function in strategic projects, including policy development, compliance audits, and organizational health assessments.

Ensure OSHA‑compliant employee lifecycle practices, including new hire safety training, policy communication, incident reporting, and recordkeeping.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

8‑10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in an HR Business Partner or senior HR advisory role.

Proven leadership experience overseeing HR teams, ideally in multi‑state U.S. environments.

Deep expertise in U.S. federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.

Experience working in a matrixed, fast‑paced, and high‑growth environment.

Strong understanding of OSHA requirements with hands‑on experience embedding workplace safety compliance into HR processes and employee lifecycle actions (preferred)

Certifications (Preferred) SHRM‑CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or equivalent certification.
