The Role The Netflix Advertising XD team seeks an Ads Creative Designer who will be a strategic partner to our Ads Commercialization and Product Strategy teams. This role is not only about execution; it’s about visual problem‑solving at a business level. You will navigate complex ad use cases and develop high‑craft, high‑impact design artifacts—including custom illustrations, conceptual renderings, system diagrams, animations and executive‑level presentations—to bring our ad product strategy to life. Your work will align internal senior leadership and empower our go‑to‑market teams to secure strategic spend.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with leaders in Ads Product Strategy, Commercialization and Sales to shape the strategic narrative and translate complex ad systems into compelling visual stories.

Design and produce high‑craft artifacts (visualizations, mockups, ecosystem diagrams, executive presentations) and scalable toolkits for global teams.

Present design concepts and strategic narratives to senior‑level stakeholders and executive leadership, both internally and externally.

Provide guidance, art direction and mentorship to help grow designers focused on Ads Creative Design for Commercialization & Activation.

Act as a creative‑technical bridge: translate creative vision into concepts that product and engineering can operationalize.

Key Qualifications

5–7+ years of experience in a strategic design, communication design or brand design role, preferably within advertising, media or tech.

A portfolio that showcases the ability to distill complex business problems into elegant, persuasive design solutions (strategy decks, system diagrams, conceptual illustrations, data visualizations).

Mastery of visual storytelling and communication design (layout, typography, color) with expert proficiency in modern design and presentation tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Slides, Keynote).

Executive presence and deep familiarity with the advertising ecosystem and business models.

Exceptional cross‑functional collaboration, project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Innovation mindset, with proficiency or strong interest in Generative AI tools to accelerate and enhance creative ideation.

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in motion design (e.g., After Effects) or 3D rendering.

Experience working directly with product management and engineering on product‑driven experiences.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. The range for this role is $120,000 – $515,000.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full‑time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off; full‑time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
