Job Summary:
Supermicro is looking for a talented and passionate Application Engineer with in‑depth knowledge of X86 server and networking solutions, especially switch products. The engineer will provide technical support to enterprise customers, promote internal switch products, and help optimize customers’ networking solutions. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management are required.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform motherboard, system, and other server component validation testing
Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress, and reliability testing
Report hardware and software quality issues into bug tracking systems
Document and analyze test data
Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions
Contribute to the development of test utilities and test script automation
Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a hardware validation environment
Strong knowledge of computer architecture
Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and networking
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Knowledge and experience with server performance benchmarks and tuning (plus)
Salary Range $110,000 – $145,000
