Position Summary: We have two newly created Senior Vendor Manager roles at the Bank. One will support Human Resources and its vendors; the other will support Bank Technology teams and their vendors.
Responsibilities
Support vendor selection and onboarding of new vendors:
source potential vendors, research vendor capabilities per bank policies, ensure required documentation is provided, assess financial and technology status via SOC reports and UCC mapping, lead cross‑departmental negotiations for contract essentials, terms, pricing and KPIs, collaborate with legal, technology and other departments to set up vendors, and provide excellent customer service.
Manage vendor relationship and lifecycle:
act as primary point of contact, align vendors with department requirements, track and manage KPIs for contractual obligations and SLA quality, provide updated vendor data for required reporting, escalations to the Director, and educate, support and mentor new colleagues on vendor management practices.
Risk and Audit Compliance:
conduct data analytics to ensure vendor management data is accurate for senior‑management reporting, support department self‑audits and internal audits as necessary, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or five years of relevant work experience with vendor management or a related field of expertise.
Three or more years of proven track record managing vendors to contracted terms, ideally with experience in a regulated industry. Experience with HR‑relevant or IT/Information Security vendors is strongly preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑management skills.
Detail‑oriented with excellent problem‑solving, emotional maturity and decision‑making ability.
Proficiency in vendor management software and tools.
Developed skills in data analytics and evaluations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and oversee a diverse portfolio of vendors with varied status from standard to critical.
Ability to address challenges in vendor relations and quality.
Work Schedule This role will have a hybrid work schedule in our Boston office under the Bank’s Hybrid Work Program. Flexibility to support team members when necessary is required, with up to 90 days of in‑office work initially.
Compensation Anticipated base pay range: $80,500 - $132,250. The actual base salary will depend on experience, required skills and other relevant factors. The role is based in Boston with weekly in‑office expectations.
