About the Role
We’re looking for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Lab Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of optics and electronics, performing testing, alignment, and validation of optical and electronic components and modules. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and play a key role in ensuring product quality, reliability, and performance.
What You’ll Do
Perform optical alignment and electrical probing on chips and wafer probers.
Execute chip‑ and wafer‑level testing, including die/wafer handling and probe alignment.
Conduct optical and electrical testing of modules using test fixtures; run tests, collect, and save data.
Carry out electronic hardware/PCBA validation testing, including data collection and troubleshooting.
Perform PCB and PCBA rework and assist with soldering and assembly tasks.
Help source electronic parts and PCBs, manage vendor orders, and maintain inventory lists.
Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace while adhering to safety and process standards.
What We’re Looking For
Technical school or Associate’s degree in a related field (Optics, Electronics, or similar).
Hands‑on experience with optics or fiber optics testing, following multi‑step procedures, interpreting instrument readings, and handling delicate micro‑optic components.
Familiarity with electronic testing and troubleshooting, particularly involving PCBAs.
Preferred experience with optical alignment, electrical probing, soldering, and opto‑mechanical setup.
Basic understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
Proficient with multimeter, power supply, oscilloscope, wave‑form/function generator, electrical spectrum analyzer.
Excel and data entry tools.
PCB design/layout tools (e.g., Cadence) – ability to read schematics and search/order components online.
Soft Skills That Make You a Great Fit
Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Adaptable, open to feedback, and proactive in continuous improvement.
Accountable, reliable, and organized in managing tasks and documentation.
Self‑motivated and eager to learn new technologies — flexible to take on urgent tasks when needed.
Why Join Us You’ll be part of a team that’s pushing boundaries in photonics and electronic integration—working on innovative, high‑impact technology in a collaborative environment that values curiosity, precision, and growth.
