Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a
Corporate Controller
to join our client’s team in
Tampa, FL . This is an
hybrid, direct hire
position.
SALARY:
$150-$180K + Bonus (depending on experience)

Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting required; MBA and CPA preferred.
Finance & Accounting Leadership: 5+ years in senior roles (Controller, VP, SVP), with strong knowledge of GAAP, tax reporting, treasury, banking, and audit oversight.
Private Equity & M&A: Experience with due diligence, acquisition-driven growth, and post-merger integration.
Leadership & Coaching: Proven ability to mentor, train, and delegate effectively to develop underperforming teams.
Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with FinancialForce (Certinia) or similar platforms.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop an accounting team, including an Assistant Controller and staff across AP, AR, and general accounting, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Oversee the month-end close process and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
Manage preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, partnering with FP&A for executive and board reporting.
Coordinate external audits and ensure tax compliance across U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Maintain strong banking relationships, supporting treasury operations and debt covenant compliance.
Drive system and process improvements, including the optimization of FinancialForce and automation of key accounting workflows.
Provide financial diligence and integration support for acquisitions and collaborate with business leaders on strategic projects and ad hoc analyses.
