As part of an educational team, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work to enhance children's communication capabilities, which is essential for successful educational outcomes. Key responsibilities include participating in decision-making teams regarding general education interventions, evaluations, eligibility, and services. The SLP will plan and execute ongoing speech and language programs/services alongside other educational services offered by school districts. The role involves working with students experiencing a wide range of communication disorders, including language, articulation (speech sound disorders), fluency, voice/resonance, and swallowing challenges. QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria: Oregon Teaching License with Speech Impaired endorsement or Oregon Licensing Board's Speech Pathology License. Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Experience with children presenting various disabilities and needs. Valid Oregon driver's license. Personal vehicle for travel throughout assignment areas. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Competency in using computer and internet applications, including email, internet software, Google Suites, and Microsoft Word. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The SLP will perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: Deliver high-quality, culturally, and linguistically sensitive services to all students. Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity regarding language acquisition in diverse populations. Provide appropriate interventions based on age and learning needs, guided by evidence-based decision-making aligned with IEP/IFSP documentation. Design speech-language services that employ a range of delivery models in the least restrictive environment. Support social, academic, and vocational development impacting educational attainment. Consult with teachers and parents to enhance language access within the curriculum, supporting literacy development across listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Identify instructional strategies, modifications, and accommodations in collaboration with the education team. Assist students in utilizing augmentative communication devices as needed. Maintain appropriate records and reports, including Medicaid billing as applicable. Screen and identify communication disorders in children with special needs. Engage in multidisciplinary assessment processes and evaluate students in articulation, voice, fluency, and language areas. Ensure accurate information regarding IEP / IFSP records, adhering to guidelines and timelines to meet student needs. Complete documentation of speech and language evaluations, progress reports, and data collection in a timely manner. Participate in team, school, and district meetings as necessary. Seek professional development to enhance knowledge and service quality. Perform hearing screenings as required. Mentor and supervise graduate SLP students, clinical fellows, and/or new team members as per licensure guidelines. Supervise SLP-Assistants and/or paraprofessionals (if applicable). Travel between locations as needed. Fulfill additional incidental duties as required. Note:
