Description
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, making this a significant role. The General Manager works with leadership to set the restaurant’s goals and creates a plan to achieve them.
To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, each with specific responsibilities. The General Manager helps these managers set goals, follows up on progress, and provides coaching and direction to improve each department. By improving the departments, the restaurant improves.
The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future.
Ideal candidates Previous General Manager experience running high-volume locations is required. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. Candidates must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
