Location Washington, DC

Position Summary Responsible for delivering complex multi‑discipline engineering projects and managing or assisting in the management of facilities engineering, architecture, and design projects from inception to completion within the water/wastewater market sector.

Compensation Salary range: $60.00 to $75.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications. The provided range is a good‑faith estimate based on the requirements described in the job description. Actual salary may vary.

Key Responsibilities

Manage project internal and external engineering resources, government agencies, and client staffing to deliver the project scope on time and within budget.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal/external design and construction teams.

Build and develop client relationships and seek opportunities for repeat business and new opportunities.

Ensure constant communication and coordination with team members to meet defined milestones and quality guidelines.

Manage multiple multi‑discipline projects, ensuring adherence to proper protocols and practices.

Provide direction and guidance to multi‑discipline design team members.

Facilitate technical coordination between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.

Resolve technical conflicts and mitigate risks within projects.

Ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.

Coordinate administrative aspects, including contract reviews, bidding, scheduling, month‑end processing, project accounting, and reporting.

Represent the organization at community and business meetings.

Create project proposals, fees/budgets, work breakdowns, rough order estimates, task prioritization, schedules, and integration plans.

Develop monthly progress reports and review internal and sub‑consultant invoicing.

Provide expertise and consulting to project managers on project management execution and lessons learned.

Establish and coordinate improvements to project management processes and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook).

Experience utilizing scheduling software (Project or P6) is a plus.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited program. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (AIA) preferred.

10+ years of experience in design and construction project management of multi‑discipline project teams, including design oversight, statement of work development, and project reporting.

Experience with water/wastewater facilities is a plus.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment. It is generally sedentary, but may require occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Field work is required on occasion, including exposure to heat, cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Regional travel within the Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware area is occasionally required for meetings and collaboration.
