Accounting Manager

$125,000–$150,000 base + 20% performance bonus + Fund participation About the Company
We are a growing commercial and multifamily real estate private equity firm based in Beverly Hills, focused on acquiring, managing, and repositioning high-quality assets across key U.S. markets. As a startup with a dynamic investment platform, we are looking for a hands‑on, driven Accounting Manager who will play a key role in building out our finance and accounting infrastructure — with the opportunity to grow into the Controller role as the firm scales. Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, manage property‑ and fund‑level financial reporting, and support investment analysis and decision‑making. This position will work closely with senior leadership on portfolio performance, investor reporting, and the development of internal accounting processes and controls. Key Responsibilities
Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and monthly close for corporate and property entities. Prepare and review
financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports
in accordance with GAAP. Manage consolidations across multiple investment entities, funds, and joint ventures. Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external CPA firms. Implement and refine internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting systems. Support the
evaluation of acquisitions and dispositions
through financial modeling and analysis. Review deal‑level cash flows, operating statements, and capital expenditure budgets. Partner with asset management to track property performance and variance reporting. Assist in preparing
investor reports, fund summaries, and portfolio dashboards . Strategic & Operational Support
Collaborate with leadership to build scalable accounting processes and systems (Yardi, MRI, or similar). Help design reporting frameworks for future funds and managed accounts. Manage vendor payments, capital calls, and investor distributions. Participate in strategic planning, capital budgeting, and fund administration initiatives. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
CPA or progress toward CPA
strongly preferred. 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in
real estate private equity, investment management, or property accounting . Strong knowledge of
GAAP , consolidations, and fund accounting principles. Hands‑on experience with
real estate financial systems
(Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or similar). Proven ability to manage multiple entities and complex ownership structures. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable working in a
startup environment
with evolving processes. Bonus:
