Role Overview Heartflow is seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of
Commercial Operations Contract Analyst
to join our team as we look to scale our commercial organization and ramp up commercialization efforts in the U.S., UK, Europe, and Japan.
The Commercial Operations Contract Analyst helps support functions essential to driving revenue and increasing commercial productivity and efficiency. These include planning, forecasting, reporting, commercial strategy, commercial process optimization, program implementation, and compensation design and administration.
This is a full‑time position with salary, bonus potential, and a generous benefits package. The role is a hybrid position that will work out of our San Francisco, CA or Santa Rosa, CA offices 3 days/week. The position requires up to 25% travel and reports directly to the Director of Commercial Contracts.
Responsibilities
Contracts:
drafting, reviewing, and redlining a variety of contractual instruments, which may range from simple to moderate complexity.
Contract Analysis:
analyze contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures.
Drafting and Negotiation:
skill in drafting clear, concise, and non‑ambiguous contractual language. Manage the contract redlining process, using track‑changes or redlining tools and adding comments to explain the rationale behind suggested revisions.
Collaboration with Sales/Business:
provide contractual guidance to business team members (including sales). Work directly with sales to ensure the terms are realistic for the company and align with business objectives before execution.
Risk and Compliance:
monitor possible compliance issues and ensure that agreed‑upon terms are executable by the company, often consulting with other internal departments (e.g., accounting).
Communication:
strong to excellent analytical and communication skills are essential for internal and external negotiation and collaboration.
Process Management:
knowledge of best practices for maintaining clean version control throughout the negotiation process to avoid confusion and data loss.
Skills and Experience
Experience analyzing data and using it to drive insights and decision‑making; strong quantitative analysis skills.
Legal knowledge: basic to expert knowledge of core contracting concepts, including the UCC and applicable international or public contract law and regulations.
Comfortable presenting to and partnering with executives to solve complex business challenges.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; strong business acumen.
Exceptional organizational and time‑management abilities.
Attentive to detail with strong quality control.
Strong work ethic.
Able to drive projects autonomously.
Ability to work with cross‑functional teams.

Educational Requirements & Experience
Paralegal certification, bachelor’s degree, or Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
5+ years of total work experience; preference for 2+ years in contracts management.
Experience with contracts review, redlining, and contract drafting.
Ideal candidate has experience working at a fast‑growing healthcare or technology company.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $115,000 to $140,000 per year, with bonus potential. #LI‑Hybrid
