Industrial Maintenance Technician

to join our team at the New Albany facility. In this essential full-time role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety throughout the site. Collaborating closely with the Mill Manager, Maintenance Lead, and the engineering and production teams, you will help minimize downtime and maintain high operational standards, contributing significantly to the success of our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Execute equipment repairs by interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings. Maintain pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers & chains, bearings, and hydraulics critical to the manufacturing process. Implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability. Operate hoisting and lifting devices for the assembly, installation, set-up, and repair of machinery and equipment. Repair and assemble hydraulic equipment and cylinders. Verify and document all repairs performed. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience. Ability to efficiently utilize the supply room, cross-reference, and specify parts. Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics. Skilled in cutting and welding across all positions. Expertise in bearing installations and alignments. Knowledgeable in different types of lubricants. Familiar with power transmission components and troubleshooting techniques. Adequate skills to calculate drive ratios. Capable of troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience in rebuilding hydraulic and pneumatic components. Able to wire motors and utilize a multimeter for readings. Competent in cutting keyways in shafts. Must pass cutting and welding tests (flat, overhead, vertical, and horizontal). High school diploma or GED is preferred. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Work Environment: This position involves working outdoors and requires physical activity, including lifting and operating heavy equipment under varying weather conditions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Pay and Benefits: The starting hourly wage for this role is $21.63, with opportunities for higher rates based on relevant experience and demonstrated skills.
