Geo-Technology Associates
GTA is currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager with 5 or more years of experience for our Somerset, New Jersey Environmental Department. We’re growing, and this is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned environmental professional to grow with us! This position provides significant opportunities for long‑term professional and financial growth and is ideal for a highly motivated individual at the Project Manager level.
Environmental Project Manager Responsibilities include
Manage projects from proposal to completion, including scope, budget and schedule
Prepare proposals, technical reports, cost estimates and other deliverables
Perform and write Phase I ESAs for residential and commercial projects
Collect soil, soil gas, indoor air (i.e., vapor intrusion), and groundwater samples
Evaluate analytical data and draw conclusions
Coordinate and oversee the work of junior staff and field technicians
Periodically represent GTA at outside networking events to build client relationships (required)
Environmental Project Manager Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of relevant environmental experience
Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations and technical guidance (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
Highly proficient at aerial photography and map interpretation
Excellent writing, proofreading, and interpersonal communication skills
GIS experience a plus (not required)
Self‑motivated, highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to focus on complex tasks
