Overview
Lead Event Specialist Part Time - 8186 at Product Connections.
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, serving, demonstrating, intercepting consumers and selling products in a professional manner, and maintaining the event execution equipment in the stores.
Pay Rate $20.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain event equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean and secured in the agreed-upon backroom area.
Communicate with store management about upcoming and past events when the Supervisor is absent.
Act as the point person for all events in the store, assisting other Event Specialists with kits, materials, and tools as needed.
Provide leadership and knowledge to the team as directed by the Supervisor.
Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell products to consumers in a positive manner.
Perform all job responsibilities assigned to the demo program.
Effectively communicate product features and benefits.
Prepare and serve food samples, including raw meats, produce, and eggs, complying with food safety guidelines.
Use small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives to prepare and serve food samples.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
Complete all assigned work.
Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
Complete expense reports per Company Policy.
Prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
Takes digital photos of Perfect Table Setup to document success stories for clients.
Other Responsibilities This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week. The company reserves the discretion to adjust the role based on business or client needs. Employees may be tasked with additional job-related duties as directed by management.
Report all employment-related injuries to the direct supervisor as soon as possible following any incident.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
Computer Skills:
Proficient use and navigation of personal computer and mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Food Safety Professional Certification; local Food Handlers permit if required.
Physical Demands Stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms (including overhead), talk and hear; visual ability to read instructions; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb (including a 6’ ladder); balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden; prepare foods using raw products; be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities Act as point of contact when Supervisor is absent.
Working Conditions Retail store environment with limited travel.
Physical Appearance Maintain professional appearance and proper grooming as per retailer dress code.
Language Skills English is primary; bilingual skills may be required.
