Assistant Store Manager – Lucky – 555 Carmel Rancho Shopping Ctr, Carmel, CA 93923 The Save Mart Companies is hiring an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) for Lucky 555 located in Carmel. In this role you will work closely with the Store Manager to lead day‑to‑day store operations, manage staff, and drive sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

Excellent leadership and team‑building skills; manage all front‑end store operations and oversee cash management.

Engage and direct team members to meet or exceed expected service levels.

Develop and implement staff work shift schedules and time‑management training.

Oversee perimeter departments and resolve inventory issues with vendors and warehouses.

Provide leadership, coaching, and performance reviews, including advancement and disciplinary decisions.

Manage the in‑store training program and provide subject‑matter content to improve employee performance.

Participate in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of new associates.

Promote effective communication with customers and team members; develop store‑specific improvement programs.

Drive customer focus throughout the store; support Customer Connection programs and practices.

Assist in tracking sales, analyzing profitability, and recommending expense‑control measures.

Supervise store cleanliness, maintenance, and serve as the point of contact during inspections.

Ensure compliance with company sanitation, safety, and security policies.

Education Four‑year college degree (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience).

Experience Two years of related experience.

Physical Basic office environment: ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, and use stairs; reach, pull, and lift objects.

Salary Hiring pay range: $77,091.00 – $101,182.00.
