Summary The Director Operations for DSV Road Transport will lead strategic and operational initiatives to manage Platinum & Gold Accounts, oversee fleet operations, and drive efficiency across all transportation activities. This role is responsible for ensuring service excellence for high-value clients, optimizing fleet utilization, and implementing cost‑effective solutions that align with organizational goals.

Duties And Responsibilities

Lead fleet operations within Platinum & Gold Accounts, including onboarding, optimization, compliance, and performance tracking.

Serve as the primary operational contact for fleet‑related matters, ensuring high‑touch service and responsiveness to Gold client needs.

Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Procurement, and Customer Success teams to deliver seamless fleet solutions tailored to each Gold Account.

Collaborate with support functions (safety, compliance, P&O) to adhere to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and contractual obligations.

Identify and implement process improvements, cost‑saving opportunities, and technology enhancements to elevate fleet performance.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into fleet KPIs, utilization, and service levels for internal and client stakeholders.

Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.

Educational Background / Work Experience / Minimum Qualifications

7+ years of experience in fleet operations, logistics, or project management, preferably in a client‑facing role.

Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive cross‑functional collaboration.

Strong analytical skills and experience with fleet management systems or ERP platforms.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

PMP or similar project management certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with enterprise or strategic accounts.

Familiarity with sustainability and electrification trends in fleet management.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, client‑centric environment.

Professional certifications in logistics management, supply chain management, or related fields (e.g., CSCP, CLTD, PMP).

Experience in managing multi‑site or multi‑country operations within the transportation and logistics industry.

Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards in transportation and logistics.

Supervisory Responsibilities (if Any)

Directly supervise and lead regional managers, department heads, and other staff within the assigned region.

Language Skills

Fluent in English (oral and written).

Computer Literacy

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant software applications.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $150,000‑$180,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
