We are currently seeking a SAP ABAP Developer to join our team in Remote, Andhra Pradesh (IN‑AP), India (IN).

We are seeking a skilled and proactive SAP ABAP Developer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating complex business requirements into high‑quality technical solutions within our SAP environment. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting ABAP programs and integrating SAP with various systems, contributing to process improvements and technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development:

Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms (SAPscript, SmartForms, Adobe Forms), and workflows using ABAP and Object‑Oriented ABAP (OOP).

Requirements Gathering:

Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, create detailed technical specifications, and ensure solutions align with business goals.

System Integration:

Integrate SAP modules with external systems using various technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, and potentially SAP PI/PO or CPI.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize and fine‑tune existing ABAP code and programs for performance, efficiency, and scalability using tools like SQL Trace and Runtime Analysis.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide 2nd and 3rd level support, debugging complex issues in production environments, and implementing timely resolutions.

Documentation and Standards:

Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and test data, while ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Collaboration and Mentorship:

Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance to junior developers, and work effectively within cross‑functional agile or waterfall teams.

Stay Current:

Stay abreast of the latest SAP technologies, including SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and modern ABAP developments (CDS views, AMDP), and recommend relevant advancements.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.

Proficiency in ABAP and OOP, with strong experience in RICEF objects, debugging, performance tuning, and integration technologies like IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs.

Familiarity with key SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, PP.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or implementation.

Knowledge of modern ABAP, Fiori/UI5, and OData services.

SAP ABAP Certification is a plus.
