Anduril brings the expertise, technology, and business model of modern innovative companies to the defense industry. Its systems are powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns data streams into a realtime 3D command and control center. Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. The Test and Evaluation team ensures every product meets high standards of performance and reliability. The team conducts full system level development testing, new production acceptance testing, software validation testing, and more. This position seeks a highly motivated Flight Test Engineer to plan and execute flight tests for aircraft and systems, analyze performance and safety data, with emphasis on software/hardware capability development and evaluation for the Altius UAS platform. Altius is a Group 2/3 autonomous vehicle specializing in ISR missions. You will evaluate software and hardware capabilities for operational suitability and integration into the full Anduril systems to support complex operations. Responsibilities

Support and plan test events conducted at test sites as required by the specific test. Configuration management of test assets, including hardware components, specific payloads, software/firmware configuration, and fleet management (maintenance planning, asset requirements for current and future testing). Generate evaluation test plans and reports focusing on system functionality and the integration of software and hardware, including safety, risk assessment, hazards mitigation, and logistical planning (hardware availability, airspace, personnel resources, schedule). Generate and execute test cards, conduct pre- and post-flight briefings, and manage test events with diverse teams (pilots, engineering SMEs, operations). Operate Altius during system evaluation testing as needed. Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams during development and production testing, report test findings, and track test status. Adjudicate testing tasks and characterize issues, observations, and results. Interface daily with hardware and software engineering teams. Collect metrics for flight test events, including sortie information and delays. Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. Ability to understand new concepts quickly, apply them accurately, organize and coordinate work phases, and determine appropriate approaches for complex problems.
