HEICO Corporation is a trusted innovator in aviation, defense, space, and electronics, and Gables Engineering, a subsidiary, is a global leader in advanced avionics. We need a dynamic, hands‑on Controller to take full ownership of accounting operations.
Responsibilities
Participate with executive management in establishing business and financial strategies for various functional areas.
Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to Gables and HEICO Corporation.
Prepare weekly forecast, annual budget, and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
Analyze product/job‑cost trends and operational performance for improvement opportunities.
Support sales team by evaluating customer credit applications and determining credit limits per policy.
Review incoming customer orders and evaluate based on revenue recognition policy.
Manage inventory valuation of materials, WIP, and finished goods at month‑end.
Oversee cycle‑count program and annual physical inventory, reviewing obsolescence and excess inventory.
Assist in developing accounting reports and ERP (IFS) functionality.
Implement financial and IT controls to ensure compliance with HEICO’s 404 SOX requirements.
Provide financial, administrative, and operational support in cost and inventory control and process improvement.
Lead, mentor and develop the Finance and Accounting team aligned with company and HEICO values.
Ensure local tax and regulatory filings and compliance.
Other related ad‑hoc reporting and analysis as necessary.
Qualifications
Proven leadership and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
Expert knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Technical proficiency with ERP systems (IFS, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
CPA and/or CMA in good standing, plus a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
At least 10 years of progressive financial management, including cost accounting in manufacturing.
Integrity, responsiveness, and ability to thrive in a collaborative culture.
Bonus: Bilingual (English/Spanish) and ERP implementation experience.
Senior Level Mid‑Senior level.
