Sr. Workday Learning Analyst , Direct Hire/Perm role,
onsite in Houston, TX.

Our client, is gearing up for their Workday HCM implementation and is in need of a Sr. Workday Learning Analyst.
They are seeking an experienced Sr. Workday Learning Analyst who has a strong background in Workday Learning, and also Workday Talent. They will play a key role in supporting the global Human Resources function by managing configuration, optimization, and integration of Workday Learning and Talent modules. This role will require direct experience migrating from legacy LMS and Talent systems, especially within multinational, compliance-driven environments. You will need to have strong expertise in Workday Learning configuration, project delivery and post go‑live support. This is a hands‑on, functional role that collaborates closely with HR, Payroll, and IT to deliver system enhancements, ensure compliance with local labor/timekeeping laws, and enable scalable global operations. Experience with Learning and Talent is required.
The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in Workday Learning configuration, BPs, requirements gathering, administration, testing, and reporting, along with a strong understanding of Workday Talent functionality and its integration with Learning.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Workday Learning subject matter expert, providing functional and technical support for configuration, testing, and issue resolution.
Partner with HR, Talent, and Learning leaders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable Workday Learning solutions.
Configure, maintain, and enhance Learning curricula, courses, programs, and campaigns within Workday.
Manage Learning assignments, security, and audience targeting for various populations.
Support the integration of Workday Learning with external content providers (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, Skillsoft, etc.).
Collaborate with the Talent team to ensure smooth alignment between Learning and Talent modules, including development plans, career growth, and performance enablement.
Develop and maintain Workday reports and dashboards related to learning engagement and completion metrics.
Support Workday releases and testing, ensuring new functionality is evaluated and adopted where beneficial.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in partnership with internal IT and Workday support teams.
Provide user training and documentation to drive adoption and effective use of Workday Learning.
Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices for Learning and Talent processes.
Requirements
Extensive Workday Learning experience
Strong hands‑on functional experience with configuration, BPs, and requirements gathering, testing, and reporting
SME experience on medium to large scale HRIS projects
Proven experience leading or supporting a migration from a legacy LMS to Workday Learning, including data mapping, testing, and go‑live readiness.
Proven hands‑on experience configuring and maintaining the
Workday Learning
module (courses, programs, campaigns, audiences, and security).
Strong understanding of
Workday Talent
components, including performance, succession, and career development.
Experience supporting
Workday Learning integrations
with external content vendors.
Solid understanding of
Workday reporting tools
(Advanced Reports, Calculated Fields, Dashboards).
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Skilled in leading design sessions and driving collaborative, effective outcomes.
Proven ability to manage project plans and deliver results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to navigate complex technical and process challenges.
Self‑starter who thrives in an ever‑changing, fast‑paced business environment.
Strong communication skill, problem solving and ability to work with stakeholders
Education Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant work experience
8–10 years of hands‑on Workday HCM experience, specializing in Learning and Talent
7+ years in Workday consulting or SME roles on mid‑to‑large scale HRIS projects.
Excellent skills in communication, project management, and issue resolution.
