FPGA Design Engineer Location:
Sunnyvale, CA Duration:
12 Months
Summary: Join our Customer s revolutionary Customer s Prototyping Team to drive end-to-end FPGA design for high-impact AR/VR hardware prototypes. Own the RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) path from idea to rapid, interactive demo collaborating closely with hardware, firmware, and optics/software teams.
Responsibilities
Partner cross-functionally (EE, SW/FW, Research, Design) to translate user experience goals and technical concepts into FPGA prototype designs
Lead RTL development, simulation, synthesis, bring-up, and board-level debug with tools (ModelSim, Questa, logic analyzer, oscilloscope)
Integrate, test, and iterate FPGA-based subsystems supporting early hardware proof-of-concepts (PoCs)
Develop and refine custom communications protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, I2S, USB, MIPI, PCIe, etc.) within digital circuit systems
Document specs, verification plans, and performance test results to inform next stages of productization
Independently manage multiple parallel projects, consistently deliver against tight timelines
Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers and outside design/test resources
