Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking a Senior Principal SMT Team /Accommodation Tech Team Systems Engineer.

What You’ll Get to Do: Act as a technical leader within a dedicated Supplier Management Team (SMT). Provide leadership for the SMT and set objectives for other members of the SMT, including GSC, Business Management, Quality/MA to oversee the cost, schedule, technical, and quality performance of the supplier (subcontractor or GFX supplier). Manage risk and opportunity related to supplied parts and their integration into the segment or system. Develop statements of work and specifications, evaluate supplier capabilities with respect to segment and system requirements, perform regular technical reviews and participate in negotiations when required.

This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area.

This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary U.S. Government security clearance per customers’ requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or 4 years of experience with a PhD

Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle

Demonstrated experience defining systems behavior

Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and working in cross-functional teams

Knowledge of systems engineering including participation in the development of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements

Risk and opportunity management experience

This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen

Current active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and a polygraph prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

Degree or professional experience in Hardware or Digital Engineering

Use of Engineering management tools, such as DOORS or Cameo

Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE)

Previous experience working in a Supplier Management Team (SMT)

Experience drafting statements of work and developing and managing schedules

Familiarity with project & task management tools: Jira, Confluence

Primary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 – $206,000.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
