Opportunity As an EY SAP Technology Presales, you directly help EY & clients with highly efficient, optimised, and precise pursuit proposals that leverage EY’s technology assets and capabilities to transform and manage their business.

Key Responsibilities

Client Interaction: Harvest requirements from the client and translate them into a solution that meets the agreed objectives and principles. Serve as a trusted advisor, leading the technology aspect of the pursuit team and liaising among business partners, delivery leadership, and pursuit stakeholders.

Pursuit Shaping: Provide guidance for solution & pursuit definition, presales thought leadership, and assess technical delivery possibilities and costs for critical business solution implementations using EY Technology products, tools, and processes.

Technology Presales Development: Work with Product Owners, Business Owners, EY SAP Delivery Teams, and GDS to envision, design, and develop pursuit designs and responses around EY’s SAP delivery and technology capabilities, addressing any identified gaps through established innovation and product channels.

Essential Functions of the Job

Presales / pursuit architecture & solutioning for mid to large‑scale pursuits.

Lead thought leadership during deal development, pursuit, and close phases.

Deep knowledge of SAP Technology and EY’s SAP drivers, products, tools, and processes.

Establish presales standards, guidelines, and procedures to increase pursuit success rates.

Create end‑to‑end solution architecture aligned with client EA and IT roadmaps.

Shape RFP responses and provide incisive insights from technical experience.

Address technology gaps during the pursuit cycle and devise mitigation plans.

Assess emerging technology impact and translate potential value for clients.

Identify cost‑saving opportunities and deliver efficiencies through technical architecture expertise.

Contribute to the development of the presales community and mentor new Technology Presales Architects.

Maintain relationships with delivery teams to ensure implemented solutions follow approved designs.

Coach business owners and pursuit leads on technology presales throughout the pursuit lifecycle.

Document pursuit/deal architecture and technology roadmaps using templates, tooling, and reference models.

Identify and mitigate technology risks, seeking necessary approvals when solutions are not fully compliant.

Collaborate with technology product teams to influence backlog priorities based on presales insights.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Knowledge of industry solutions and products.

Strong technical background with experience in deal development, architecture, or technology startups.

Experience on large‑scale, multi‑technology, data, and analytics deals.

Broad application, infrastructure, digital, and security expertise.

Architectural experience across technical, data, application, and integration domains.

Proficiency in responding to RFPs and shaping client proposals.

Expertise in solution write‑up and client presentations.

Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Business acumen with ability to develop strategic customer relationships.

Risk identification and mitigation strategy development.

Awareness of portfolio management principles and tools.

Organised and methodical approach to planning and execution.

Meticulous attention to detail.

Leadership and negotiation skills with influence and networking capabilities.

Ideally, you’ll also

Be an individual contributor and master the art of influencing without authority.

Have experience in offshore/onsite working models across multiple geographies and cultures.

Hold Agile Delivery and DevOps certifications or experience.

Possess architectural training or certifications such as TOGAF or IASA.

Understand service management frameworks (ITIL V3/V4) for strategy and design.

Be willing for regular international and domestic travel.

Hold a BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Have 15+ years of experience in technology, business development, and thought leadership.

What We Offer You

A comprehensive compensation and benefits package rewarded based on performance and business impact. Base salary range in the US: $138,200 – $266,000; higher ranges for selected metro areas. Total rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and generous paid time off.
