Storage Engineer with Security Clearance
Serve as a Platform Storage Engineer. Design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform storage infrastructure. Ensure storage systems meet performance, availability requirements. Respond to incidents and service requests. Perform routine health checks, capacity planning, performance analysis. Execute firmware upgrades, patches, configuration changes.
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science, IT, or related.
5+ years storage engineering experience.
Knowledge of Linux distributions, user management, security hardening, system troubleshooting.
Experience with Fibre Channel, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS, NVMe/TCP, NVMe/RoCE.
Hands‑on with ext4, XFS, Btrfs; know when to use each.
Know RAID levels, disk management techniques.
Deploy, configure, manage SAN and NAS solutions.
Major vendor experience: Dell EMC, NetApp, or HPE Nimble.
Set up synchronous/asynchronous data replication for DR.
Use Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix for performance monitoring.
Intermediate scripting for automation; use Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Optimize NVMe‑based systems; manage flash memory performance.
Working knowledge of AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage.
Familiarity with Ceph, Swift, object storage platforms.
Knowledge of Lustre, GPFS/Spectrum Scale.
Travel & Security
Travel up to 20% of the time for on‑site installations and maintenance.
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required. Current IAM Level II to satisfy DOD 8570 IAT requirements.
Experience & Salary Full‑time, in person. Salary range: $160,000 – $200,000.
Required Certifications
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
Top Secret security clearance.
