Description
The Position
The position is responsible for product testing, recording data, data analysis and maintaining the lab equipment to support PM1 & PM2 production, product quality and improvement. This includes providing trial support and product cost reduction support in all areas of the mill.

Qualifications
Job Responsibilities Perform routine and non-routine lab testing of pulp and paper products from paper machines, OCC and pulp mill following mill safety requirements. Maintain testing procedures and organized data storage. Support mill trials and data collection processes. Order and maintain adequate amount of lab supplies and chemicals with COA. Maintain lab equipment calibrated and operational, coordinating vendor provided services. Collect, label, store and ship products and pulp samples as needed. Support product quality related activities and improvement projects. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient in MS office applications, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and basic software skills. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Knowledge of chemistry, operating lab equipment, Able to lift 50lb or less as part of routine and non-routine work. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and quality tolls Required Education and Experience
High school diploma with 2-4 years of experience in the manufacturing environment Associate degree is preferred Knowledge of paper testing or pulp and paper is preferred Employment Terms
Full-time, Non-Exempt position. Salary range: $50,000 to $70,000 DOE 2 weeks paidvacation. Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance. Competitive paid vacation plan. 9 paid holidays and one paid personal holiday per calendar year. Retirement plan.
