Overview
SSM Health is seeking a dedicated General Neurologist to join our team in Jefferson City, Missouri, and establish our new neurology department. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to build a comprehensive neurology program from the ground up while serving the healthcare needs of our community.
Candidate Advantages Be the founding neurologist and sole provider in our new department
Develop and shape the neurology program according to your vision
Clinic located on the hospital campus for seamless patient care coordination
Clinical Responsibilities Diagnose, treat, and manage a full spectrum of neurological conditions including:
Headaches and migraines
Sleep disorders
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Epilepsy and seizure disorders
Stroke and cerebrovascular conditions
Movement disorders
Neuropathies and other neurological conditions
Order and interpret diagnostic tests including:
Electromyography (EMG)
Electroencephalography (EEG)
CT scans
MRI imaging
Other specialized neurological assessments
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive, coordinated patient care
Provide consultation services to the emergency department and hospitalized patients
Community Impact Eliminate travel barriers for local patients
Provide accessible, high-quality neurological care close to home
Build lasting relationships within the community
Make a meaningful difference in patients' lives

Recent neurology residents ready to start their career
Fellows completing subspecialty training
Required Qualifications MD or DO degree
Completion of neurology residency training
Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology
Valid Missouri medical license (or ability to obtain)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
