Qualifications – OB/GYN Physician Requirements
Active and unrestricted Physician license (North Carolina preferred)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in OB/GYN jobs
Clean NPDB and malpractice history (required for temporary privileges)
ACLS certification
Additional specialty certifications as required
Ability to obtain temporary privileges (credentialing timeframe: 30-60 days; temps available if qualified)
Responsibilities – OB/GYN Locum Tenens Physician
Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for low and high-risk pregnancies
Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted)
Manage routine and complicated deliveries: vaginal, low forceps, c-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs (preferred)
Perform amniocentesis and repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Conduct surgical gynecology procedures (open, laparoscopic, operative/major)
Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring (NST/CST/FSE)
Collaborate with the clinic team to ensure high-quality patient care during staffing challenges
