Base Pay Range $27.00/hr – $31.00/hr

Job Overview We have a fantastic full‑time career opportunity in Chicago for a qualified Dimensional Quality Control Inspector to work the 2nd shift (2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.). You will execute dimensional inspections of critical, large machine parts for our nuclear business and maintain rigorous documentation.
Responsibilities
Conduct dimensional inspections of large parts using analog micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Use manual precision measuring equipment for a variety of parts and components.
Calibrate measuring instruments and perform inspection and test activities.
Utilize the Epicor ERP system to collect and document findings.
Develop detailed reports for incoming, in‑process, and final inspection.
Learn and follow nuclear industry documentation requirements and traveler job requisitions for each component inspected.
Requirements
Strong background working in manufacturing in a custom precision machining facility.
Minimum 3 years of previous inspection experience.
Proficiency with analog measuring tools for at least 3 years in manufacturing.
Experience using micrometers up to 60 inches, inside/outside/distance micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
Ability to prioritize and take direction from all levels of management.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Proficient computer skills and familiarity with MS Office.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.
High School Diploma (required).
