environment. The schedule is
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (with potential overtime as needed)

PAY DETAILS: $29-$34 per hour
As an
Automation Shop Welder Fabricator
, you will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling custom components and machinery used in automated systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability, attention to detail, and experience working from blueprints in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
About the Client
We are looking for someone who has
experience fabricating for a machine shop or automation shop
. When our engineers release prints to the shop, our fabricators
cut each part, grind, assemble, and weld the pieces together
to create custom equipment. Once the components return from finishing processes, the team
assembles all weldments into completed machinery
. This work must be completed efficiently, as we are continually building new, custom automation projects.
Job Responsibilities
Fabrication & Welding Duties:
Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings accurately.
Fabricate and weld components for industrial machinery and assemblies using
MIG and TIG
processes.
Cut, grind, shear, and bend metal parts using fabrication tools such as saws, brakes, and grinders.
Assemble
mechanical systems and automation equipment
per engineering drawings and schematics.
Perform quality checks and make adjustments as needed to meet precise specifications.
Operate
forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment
safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and electricians to ensure proper fit and function of assemblies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
Assist in training new team members on welding techniques, shop safety, and proper equipment use.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
; technical training or certification preferred.
3+ years of welding/fabrication experience
in a machine shop or automation environment.
Proficient in
MIG and TIG welding
on steel, aluminum, and stainless materials.
Strong understanding of
mechanical assembly and fabrication techniques
.
Ability to
read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
accurately.
Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems is a plus.
AWS certification preferred but not required.
Must be able to lift
50 lbs
and stand for extended periods.
Must be a self-starter, team player, and results-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
Metal fabrication (steel, aluminum, stainless)
Press brake and shear operation
Mechanical assembly and equipment installation
Forklift and overhead crane operation
OSHA and PPE safety compliance
Strong teamwork and communication skills
