About The Position Job Title: Inpatient Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Must have an active state license at the time of start Certifications: BLS, NBCOT Must-Have: - Acute Care experience - Skills in adaptive equipment and pre-discharge planning - Knowledge of safety and injury prevention Description: Position available for Inpatient Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 50-60 patients. Clinician will be required to work 1 weekend per month. Ideal candidate should have experience in adaptive equipment and pre-discharge planning. Experience in lifting and transfer, patient/family education, safety and injury prevention is essential. Documentation skills in assessments, discharge planning, and evaluations are required. Candidates must be flexible to meet the facility's needs and may float within the scope of practice. Weekly patient census is generally around 50-60. Patient age groups will range from adults to geriatrics. The facility operates as an acute care hospital with a diverse variety of diagnoses. Travelers must be able to comply with all requirements and complete the full assignment. All candidates should possess the required certifications and maintain a professional demeanor throughout the assignment.
