The Vice President of Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence and fostering a high‑performance culture within the company. This role oversees all aspects of multi‑site field operations, employee performance, and team accountability while ensuring seamless project execution and client satisfaction. The Vice‑President of Operations plays a key role in leadership development, workforce planning, and optimizing operational processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
This position may be based out of any of our New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut offices.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Provide strong leadership to operation managers, project managers, coordinators, and field teams.
Develop and enforce accountability structures, including KPIs and performance metrics.
Drive employee engagement, retention, and leadership development programs.
Ensure alignment between company culture and operational execution.
Facilitate training programs to enhance team capabilities and safety compliance.
Operational Oversight & Execution
Oversee day‑to‑day field operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards.
Optimize resource allocation to improve job efficiency and profitability.
Implement and maintain operational workflows and best practices.
Collaborate with other departments to align operations with strategic goals.
Accountability & Performance Management
Establish clear performance expectations for teams and individuals.
Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance Oversight
Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and industry‑specific safety regulations.
Oversee safety training programs and enforce workplace safety protocols.
Address incidents proactively and implement preventative measures.
Work closely with HR and Compliance teams to align safety and legal requirements.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and key stakeholders.
Ensure customer service excellence by addressing concerns and improving service delivery.
Act as a liaison between field teams and executive leadership to provide insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 7‑10 years in operations leadership, preferably in disaster restoration, construction, or a related field.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
Skills:
Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.
Strong operational and project management expertise.
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with process improvement and efficiency strategies.
Travel Required Frequent travel to locations is required.
