JPI has an immediate opening for a Consultant with 5–7+ years of experience to join our onsite team in the Washington, DC area. This role will partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to drive operational success through strategy, organizational change management, process improvement, and effective communication planning.

Location and Requirements This role requires onsite presence at the USCG St. Elizabeths campus in Washington, DC three days per week. Ability to obtain clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship) is also required.

Responsibilities

Lead and support organizational change management (OCM) activities to help clients adopt new processes, tools, and ways of working.

Coordinate and review deliverables for completeness, quality, and adherence to customer requirements.

Map workflows, build process maps, and develop process documentation and user guides to support continuous improvement.

Plan and execute communication strategies, including stakeholder emails, user communications, and implementation guides.

Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Develop junior team members through constructive feedback, coaching, and actionable performance recommendations.

Lead and facilitate client meetings, working sessions, and program reviews.

Communicate project status, risks, and results effectively to all leadership levels.

Support organizations in defining and refining mission, vision, goals, objectives, and priorities.

Track action items, client requirements, deliverables, and project plans throughout the lifecycle.

Interpret and apply government policies, regulations, and directives to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Support development of strategic and operational planning goals, objectives, measures, and outcomes using SMART methodologies.

Oversee drafting and editing of policy directives, guidance, and instructions.

Assist with the maturation of records management, research, and information services programs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field required.

PMP certification preferred.

5–7+ years of progressive consulting or project management experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility in strategy, process improvement, or organizational change.

Experience planning and executing communication strategies for projects and organizational initiatives.

Proven success managing high-complexity projects, meeting deadlines, and balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience supporting DHS and/or IT programs strongly preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Confluence and JIRA a plus.

Demonstrated ability to build and manage client relationships and convert them into new business opportunities.
