Hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Monday‑Friday) Hybrid

Compensation At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $94,160 – $124,762. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job‑related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Sourcing Manager! A Manager – Global Sourcing coordinates the global sourcing strategy which requires an in‑depth understanding of the global market to define strategy for supplier sourcing, risk management and identify new opportunities and innovation to fit in the overall company strategy. This experienced individual will manage a group of Sourcing Managers, located throughout North America, who are responsible for multiple key commodity portfolios and suppliers that serve the needs of the S&C’s global manufacturing locations. The Manager Global Sourcing will work as a change agent to develop proactive approaches to Category and Risk Management by identifying potential problems, providing effective solutions, and ensuring regular follow‑up.

Key Responsibilities

Actively manage the performance of the four Sourcing Managers within their team.

Help develop and execute viable global sourcing strategies.

Ensure that the team has developed a comprehensive set of category profiles, including market analysis, benchmarking and other key indicators.

Provide the necessary leadership to the team for developing successful supplier relationships, creating, and negotiating supplier contracts or pricing agreements.

Oversee the overall facets of supplier management activities for the assigned categories, and complete regular supplier performance assessments with the relevant Sourcing Managers.

Manage any Supplier Development action plans/improvement plans through regular business reviews with the suppliers.

Ensure that the team executes regular supplier evaluations and communicates the results to the supplier, internal customers, and the leadership team.

Develop long‑term project plans with the team to increase the number of strategic suppliers on the S&C Strategic Supplier Matrix (SSM).

Monitor the team’s use of SSM‑A/P suppliers in NPD and Production.

Manage the Net Cost reporting to better understand the market conditions in each assigned category and develop ways to bring cost back.

Ensure the team has a robust pipeline of cost reduction projects for the next five years.

Review and approve contracts and stocking agreements with established and new suppliers.

Escalation management and conduit from supplier to Sr. Management team.

Ensure that all sourcing project plans are updated and maintained on a regular basis within our project management software – Wrike.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

10+ years of management experience in leading a team of 4+

BA in business or technical discipline.

Experience working in a diverse manufacturing area with emphasis on electrical manufacturing.

Work record showing ability to conceive and implement strategic sourcing initiatives and assure their long‑term success.

Demonstrated experience leading a globally based team.

Participating in cross‑functional global teams.

Experience with and understanding manufacturing processes for industrial products and components.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including personal and group presentations.

Highly skilled in use of business technology and communication tools.

Excellent working knowledge of MS Office.

Ability to travel domestically and globally 40% of the time.

Sourcing and supply management of manufactured products in a high‑mix, mid‑volume setting.

Preferred

MBA or current certification by ISM (CSM/CPSM) or APICS CSCP would be beneficial.
