Up to $7,500 SUMMARY: As a dedicated Addiction Counselor, you will provide comprehensive addiction assessment, treatment planning, and counseling services to individuals suffering from chemical dependency. You will work as part of a collaborative clinical team under the supervision of a psychiatrist, making a positive impact in clients' lives. RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver Substance Use Disorder treatment through engaging individual and group counseling sessions. Ensure timely completion of all patient documentation and progress summaries in compliance with standards. Conduct assessments to establish diagnoses and the appropriate level of care for every client. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy that is motivating and engaging for clients throughout their treatment journey. Develop personalized and culturally sensitive treatment plans for clients. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to enhance understanding of client needs. Participate in ongoing professional supervision and educational opportunities to improve client care. Complete required medical documentation efficiently, adhering to regulatory standards. Meet productivity goals by utilizing effective techniques to engage clients and reduce missed appointments. Contribute actively as a member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to the coordination of patient care. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's Degree in a Human Services field. Completion of a clinical internship in chemical dependency or at least 1 year of relevant experience in a mental health or chemical dependency program if hired on or after 10/05/2023. CASSAC or OASAS QHP required if hired on or after 11/30/2021, or LMHC-P (Permit) or CASAC-T permitted with full certification attainment within 24 months. EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sedentary Work - Involves sitting most of the time, but may include brief walking or standing periods.
