Base pay range $135,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Provide evidence‑based vision care, including detailed eye exams, prescribing medication, and recommending treatments such as LASIK and cataract surgery.
Deliver routine vision care using evidence‑based guidelines and educate patients and store associates on eye health, contact‑lens care, disease‑state management, and safety factors.
Consult with other health professionals to prepare patient care plans while observing optometry scope of practice per state board.
Embrace new equipment technology and advanced instrumentation (digital phoropters, EMR, Maestro OCT/retinal camera) and integrate it into patient care.
Qualifications & Competencies
Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
Licensed optometrist in good standing in the state of practice.
EMR/EHR experience.
Experience treating and managing ocular disease.
Strong judgment and business acumen, including financial analysis and risk evaluation.
Customer/Member‑centered approach, promoting a high‑quality service experience.
Execution focus with accountability for results and goal achievement.
Planning and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to develop and implement new processes.
Effective communication and influence skills for building teams and stakeholder relationships.
Adherence to ethics, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Adaptability to change, continuous learning, and resilience.
