Class A Mechanic / Automotive Technician / Sign-on Bonus

Job Description Job Description Looking for a GM experienced and trained A level technician to fill positions in a busy shop. We are a single line dealer with a strong customer base. A tech level will include, but not limited to, engine, transmission, and driveline diagnosis and repair. Strong electrical skills a plus. The right candidate will possess good organizational skills along with the ability to get along with co-workers. Pay is negotiable and commensurate upon experience and training. Responsibilities Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area. Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair. Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer. Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required. Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised. Document work performed. Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician. Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. Attend factory-sponsored training classes. Qualifications 5 years of GM Technician experience is preferred but not required A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair Must have a good driving record Benefits One week vacation immediately; two weeks vacation after one year 35 hour guarantee Paid training Sign-on Bonus
