About the Role
Our New York office is looking for a Designer with strong conceptual skills and design thinking, technical proficiency in various software, and keen attention to detail. This is an exciting opportunity for an early‑career professional who is highly ambitious, inquisitive, eager to learn, and takes initiative to work on projects from inception through completion. As a Designer, you will work in collaborative teams of varying sizes, working on conceptual design projects and being exposed to construction techniques, building materials, document preparation, and building codes. We are committed to providing ongoing mentorship, hands‑on project experience, and structured opportunities for professional development, and we hope our ideal candidate will grow with and contribute to the firm over time.
Hybrid Work Schedule
The New York office operates on a hybrid schedule. Wednesday is a core “all‑hands” day, and individuals are required to be in the office at least 2 additional days per week, with the option to work from home 2 days per week. For the first 6 months, the candidate must be in the office 5 days per week. After 6 months, the hybrid schedule applies. Employees are highly encouraged to work from the office as much as possible to increase exposure, formal guidance, and informal mentorship.

Qualifications
Bachelor and/or master’s degree in architecture
1+ years’ professional experience, preferably in multi‑family residential and commercial
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within project teams
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple projects and deadlines
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and eager to take initiative and ownership of any task
Strong critical‑thinking skills and ability to self‑correct
Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong graphic presentation experience creating presentation materials (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Adept at making models including digital fabrication (3D printing and laser cutting)
Demonstrated experience utilizing Revit (Revit Family Editor is a plus!)
Experience with 3‑D modeling, rendering and computational design tools (Rhino and Grasshopper)
Adept at visualization strategies and visual storytelling (Enscape, Vray and D5)
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
