Responsibilities
Conduct assignments encompassing complete projects or portions of major projects
Determine methods and techniques to be used or adapt standard methods to meet variations
Coordinate phases of work with outside vendors or other divisional contacts
Responsible for design, development, and installation of PLC based control systems for high-speed production equipment
Direct and/or coordinate the activities of others assigned to assist in specified projects
Investigate product inquiries, develop and implement appropriate corrective actions
Build subject matter expertise on technology as needed
Comply with all applicable quality management system, environmental, safety and occupational health policies, including ISO 13485, ISO 14001, OSHAS18001, validation documents, NCR/CAPA/internal audit investigations, Validation Master Plan (VMP) activities, and any other applicable quality system tasks
Apply key knowledge to Process Engineering non-conformance, subsequent corrective, and preventive actions, documenting, investigating, and conducting root cause analysis, and successfully implementing corrective actions
Build key performance process engineering reports to escalated to management, with status updates relative to success in meeting critical goals and objectives
Carriage out process validations on all ongoing Process Engineering initiatives for subsequent operational integration and supply chain implementation
Assist with Process Engineering Technician activity, supporting and enforcing site-specific safety and industrial hygiene requirements
Communicate and escalated in a timely manner, any Process Engineering issues or concerns to next management level
Understand and apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/manager as needed
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent University degree required; focused degree in Engineering or related field preferred
Experience: Relevant professional work experience
Required Skills: Strong PC experience; excellent communication skills; ability to function in a team-based manufacturing environment
Preferred Skills: Experience with PLCs, vision systems, CIM, robotics and automation; hands‑on experience with high speed automation assembly equipment; Green Belt Certification; knowledge of FDA, BSI, ISO, GMP requirements
Travel: Position requires up to 10% travel – US Domestic and International
