Job Summary
Seeking a seasoned trusts/estate lawyer ready to lead key matters and deepen specialty work. The firm is a focused boutique in Durham specializing in trusts, estates, elder law, special‑needs planning, fiduciary matters, and related business/tax work.
Base Pay Range $160,000.00 – $190,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of trusts, estates, guardianships, elder law matters and special‑needs planning
Provide strategic advice on tax, gifting, business succession, and fiduciary issues
Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives; handle probate and trust administration
Serve as lead attorney on larger matters while mentoring junior staff or associates
Interface directly with clients, family members, advisors, and other professionals
Stay up to date on regulatory, tax, elder‑law, and disability planning trends, and bring ideas to the firm
Grow and deepen a niche (special needs, elder law, high‑net‑worth estate planning)
Contribute to business development network, speak or write on estate/elder topics, maintain client relationships
