Attorney - Personal Injry (Fully Remote)

Salary: $80,000 - 110,000/year
This position is fully remote / work from home, but candidates must live in and be bar admitted in NC.
The
Personal Injury Attorney
will manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate has strong litigation and negotiation skills, a client-centered mindset, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role includes significant client contact, case strategy development, and courtroom appearances as needed.
Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of personal injury cases, including case evaluation, legal research, drafting pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
Communicate regularly and compassionately with clients regarding case status, medical treatment, and legal strategy.
Conduct negotiations with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and third parties to achieve favorable settlements.
Represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, and trials in North Carolina state courts.
Supervise and collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff to ensure timely and effective case progress.
Develop case strategies tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and goals.
Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and file management in accordance with firm procedures and ethical standards.
Participate in marketing, community outreach, or referral-building efforts as needed.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.)
from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in North Carolina
(in good standing).
2+ years of experience
in personal injury, civil litigation, or insurance defense preferred (newer attorneys with strong interest in PI will be considered).
Strong negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with attention to detail.
Empathetic and client-focused approach, with strong interpersonal skills.
Trial experience or strong desire to develop courtroom experience a plus.
