We are looking for a motivated individual to cover the NC Triangle, Winston‑Salem and Greensboro markets, with the ability to expand into the Charlotte market.
Purpose The Indirect Auto Lending Representative serves as the primary liaison between Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union and its network of automobile dealerships. This role focuses on developing and sustaining strong dealer partnerships, promoting the credit union's lending programs, and ensuring new loan volume is aligned with FBFCU's goals.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct regular dealer visits to strengthen partnerships, provide program updates and identify growth opportunities.
Serve as the main point of contact for questions regarding loan programs and stipulations; act as a point of escalation for dealer approval or funding concerns.
Deliver effective sales presentations to prospective and current dealers, using visual sales tools or handouts, for the assigned territory.
Leverage dealer networking to gather market intelligence, including competitors' programs and pricing, and conduct periodic reviews of industry trends.
Onboard new dealerships, ensuring a clear understanding of the credit union's guidelines and procedures.
Utilize the credit union's dealer reporting tools to monitor dealer and portfolio performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
Use reporting tools to track performance, identify opportunities to increase loan volume, provide education, and support dealer improvement.
Track funding turnaround times and escalate issues as necessary.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitive programs, and compliance requirements.
Communicate policy or program changes promptly to dealerships.
Participate in internal meetings to share dealer feedback and recommend improvements.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Must comply with the Federal Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering & Customer Identification Policy (BSA), the OFAC Policy and the Identity Theft Policy.
Minimum Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Training
High School diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
On an annual basis is required to complete mandatory Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and Red Flag Identity Theft training.
Prior Experience
Prior experience in auto lending, indirect lending, or financial sales.
Strong knowledge of auto loan underwriting, funding, and compliance practices.
Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Special Skills and Abilities
Exceptional communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
Knowledge of relevant indirect consumer lending laws and regulations related to credit unions.
Demonstrated ability to develop business and achieve established sales goals.
Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, persuasion, and self‑motivation.
Proficiency with loan origination systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple dealer accounts, and travel as needed.
Physical Demands Work requires some physical exertion. The need for physical stamina and endurance is of medium to high significance. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Working Conditions No adverse environmental working conditions. Significant travel required.
